This award-winning jasmine is native to China and commonly cultivated as an ornamental. Peak bloom continues from November to March. Highly prized by gardeners for its winter blooming season on deciduous branches, when few others dare to bloom. The blooms paint this deciduous plant with small, bright single yellow flowers. Winter Jasmine is a vining shrub and makes for an ideal ground cover and a trailing plant over retaining walls. Branches self-root when they touch the ground. This sought-after beauty thrives in most types of moist soil and does well as a stabilizer plant for steep banks. Unlike its namesake, it is not fragrant.
